Internships
Internship/Cooperative Education
ACCTG 140 – CO-OP WORK EXPERIENCE is the Accounting internship course. This is not an actual “class.” This course is an internship with an employer of your choice. This for-credit internship program allows you to learn new skills and knowledge on the site from your choice of industry employer.
Additional details regarding Cooperative Education:
- Before starting your internship, you will need to complete the Cooperative Education paperwork (Word doc) with your employer.
- While Highline is regularly approached by local employers who are eager to have our students intern or work permanently at their organizations., students are ultimately responsible with finding and securing their internships.
- An internship is required in most of the professional-technical degrees and certificates at Highline and can be one of the most valuable courses in which students enroll. It is an excellent opportunity to gain legal experience, develop contacts and network, and enhance a resume. Internships may lead to employment opportunities.
- Please contact your faculty advisor for more information.
